Soda Pop Stop!

One of the many awesome things Buchanan enjoyed in Los Angeles: Galco's Soda Pop Stop in Highland Park (www.sodapopstop.com). This place is completely unassuming and totally amazing: rows and rows of every flavor of soda (in glass bottles), including cucumber, raspberry lime ricky, Moxie (!), peach, and a hundred others. I got a tip on a spicy ginger beer from the owner, and my friend Paul bought an almond soda that tasted like heaven. They had some great old candy, too, including candy cigarettes (sorry, my job!) and these incredible butterscotch covered peanut butter cups (the name of which I forget--sorry!).
